Henri Pensis

Director of Broadcasting and Station Manager

Henri came to WMOT in October of 2010 from WUFT-FM in Gainesville, Florida.  He hosts Afternoon Classics and has worked with staff to establish WMOT as a major resource for our community, guide WMOT through a move into the new Center for Innovation in Media, has added classical music to the broadcast schedule and worked to establish strong ties with WMOT’s broadcast partners.

Partnerships with Naxos Records, Nashville Symphony, Nashville Ballet, Music City Roots, Nelligan Sports and MTSU have produced interesting and exciting programming for WMOT. Henri started in public radio with WDCB-FM in Glen Ellyn, IL, as Music Director and then program Director.

He moved to WHIL in Mobile, AL, where he was Program Director.  His first manager’s job came with WWNO in New Orleans, LA, and then he moved to WUFT-FM in Gainesville, FL, where he put a second station on the air, WJUF, and then converted both stations to full-power HD multicast services.

Henri enjoys road cycling with the Murfreesboro Bicycle Club and a musician who performs with several local groups.

Transmitter Maintenance Last Saturday

I am sorry to let you know this post-event but we had a transmitter part fail and it was replaced last Saturday which meant that we were off the air on Saturday morning.  This was unforseen and we apologize for the interruption of our programming service for Saturday morning.  Because we rebroadcast our HD-2 stream on our Short Mountain translator it was also off the air for the repairs. Everything is back up now and we will try to let you know in advance of any future  planned transmitter maintenance.

Thanks for your patience.
