Blue Raider Football Back in Action after 15 Day Break

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (BEASLEY)  --  Currently tied for first in the Sun Belt standings,  Blue Raiders football returns to action Saturday after a 15 day layoff.

After two consecutive losses from then Sun Belt leader Louisiana Monroe, Middle Tennessee now stands tied for first in the SBC.

The Blue Raiders now control their own destiny inside the conference, starting with South Alabama Saturday.

With an already impressive road record of 4-1 on the season, a win at South Alabama would give the Blue Raiders its most road wins since 1992.

Vanderbilt’s Cinderella Season

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (BEASLEY)  --  For the second consecutive season under Head Coach James Franklin, the Vanderbilt Commodores are bowl eligible once again.

With wins over Missouri, Kentucky, and a come from behind victory over Ole Miss this weekend, Vanderbilt has found consistency in the South Eastern Conference.

Much of the success can be credited to the leadership of quarterback Jordan Rodgers, who 's shy of 2,000 passing yards on nine touchdowns and only three interceptions.

Blue Raiders Fight to Stay Bowl Eligible

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (BEASLEY)  --  After a 38-21 win Saturday over the Mean Green of North Texas, Middle Tennessee heads to Bowling Green to take on rival Western Kentucky.

Middle Tennessee has what could be the biggest game of the season Thursday, as they face the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

The Blue Raiders fell short against the Hiltoppers in Floyd Stadium last year, losing in double overtime 36-33.

Blue Raiders Fight to Stay Bowl Eligible

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (BEASLEY)  --  The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders are on the verge of becoming bowl eligible, but first they have to win Saturday versus North Texas.

Saturday, Middle Tennessee will return to conference play and take on Sun Belt opponent North Texas.

Not only is this the Blue Raiders signature Black Out game, but also the Salute to Armed Services/Veterans game. Pre game schedule includes a Memorial Service, Pre-Game Picnic, and the Presentation of the Joe Nunley Award.
