The Establishment began in 1970, a diverse array of Nashville musicans who had in common an abiding love of big band music. They came together to form an ensemble devoted to capturing the rhythmic sound of the 40's and 50's. Today, under the baton of Billy Adair, this well rehearsed and highly skilled 22-piece aggregation is in demand throughout the Mid-South.

The Establishiment generates scholarships for musically talented children to receive individualized instruction at Blair School of Music and the W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School.
