MTSU Hosts 7K Murfreesboro City Schools’ Students at Dec. 12 Education Day Event

More than 7,000 Murfreesboro City Schools’ students as well as students from the county’s Homer Pittard Campus School will be treated to science and math, an MTSU women’s basketball game and more Thursday, Dec. 12, during the second Education Day event in Murphy Center.

The MT women’s basketball/city schools partnership game will match the Raiders (5-3 and on a four-game winning streak) against visiting Kennesaw (Ga.) State University (1-6). Tip off will be at 11 a.m.

Tennessee to Celebrate International Human Rights Day

Human Rights Day in Tennessee has become a time to celebrate the leaders of yesterday and recognize those taking up the torch for tomorrow, a time to look at battles won and lessons learned as well as to inspire the youth of today to do something about the state of the world tomorrow. It occurs each year on December 10th, and this year the celebration will take place at the Howard Office Building in the Sonny West Conference Center.
