‘MTSU On the Record’ Examines Al Gore’s Career

Troy Gipson's new book about Al Gore.

The next edition of the “MTSU On the Record” radio program will focus on the Carthage, Tenn., native who served two terms as vice president and won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

Host Gina Logue’s interview with Troy Gipson, an MTSU alumnus and author of “From Carthage to Oslo: A Biography of Al Gore,” will air from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, and from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, March 31, on WMOT-FM (89.5 and www.wmot.org).

Religious Studies Expansion Subject of ‘MTSU On the Record’

The expansion of religious studies at MTSU will be the topic of the next edition of “MTSU On the Record” on radio station WMOT-FM (89.5 and wmot.org).

Host Gina Logue’s interview with Dr. Jenna Gray-Hildenbrand, associate professor of religious studies, will air from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 4, and from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10.

Gray-Hildenbrand will discuss the addition of a new tenure-track position in religious studies, which is under the Department of Philosophy. The new professor will begin work in the fall 2013 semester.

Students interested in becoming the next Sergio Leone or Federico Fellini will have a special interest in the next “MTSU On the Record” radio program.

Host Gina Logue’s interview with Professor Tom Neff of the Department of Electronic Media Communication will air from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, and from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, on WMOT-FM (89.5 and wmot.org).

‘MTSU On the Record’ Reminds You to Get Free Memory Screening

Free memory screenings performed by MTSU graduate students will be explained on the next edition of the “MTSU On the Record” radio program.

Host Gina Logue’s interview with Dr. Paul Foster, MTSU associate professor of psychology and clinical neuropsychologist, will air from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, and from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, on WMOT-FM (89.5 and wmot.org).

Under Foster’s supervision, graduate students ask clients a series of questions designed to help determine whether the clients have any memory issues that would merit referral to a specialist.
