MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Online retail giant Amazon.com will break ground in Murfreesboro Thursday afternoon on a new distribution center.
State Senators Bill Ketron and Jim Tracey, Rutherford County Mayor Ernest Burgess, and Murfreesboro Mayor Tommy Bragg are all scheduled to attend.
Amazon has made a significant investment in Tennessee in recent months, including a one million-square-foot operation in the Chattanooga area that employs 1,700 people, and a facility in Bradley County that employs 400.
