2 armed robberies, same day, same Murf. apartment complex

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  At least two armed robberies took place at the same Murfreesboro apartment complex on Monday.

Jimmy Johns delivery driver Neil S. Williams tells police that he was robbed at gunpoint Monday while delivering food to building No. 2 at 1345 Wenlon Drive.

Police say they developed three suspects in the case and brought them in for questioning. The arrest report states all three men confessed to taking part in the robbery.

Nineteen-year-old Dominic B. Roberts and 20 year-old Christopher J. Woods were arrested on one count each of Aggravated Robbery. Twenty-year-old Westin T. Brantley was charged with one count of Conspiracy. All three will make an initial court appearance on Dec. 8 in Rutherford County General Sessions Court.

Murfreesboro resident Marlon K. Polk reported to police that he was robbed at gunpoint in the same apartment complex on the same day. A police spokesman says the two robberies are likely connected.

Items recovered at the scene suggest other robberies in the area may be connected as well.
