MPD

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Four massage parlors were the targets of raids by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and two mid-state police departments.

Murfreesboro Police say they served search warrants on Oasis Massage on Old Fort. Parkway, Sunshine Massage on Memorial Blvd. and an apartment on Saint Andrews Drive.

Police say the three locations were being used to promote prostitution. Evidence seized will be used to file criminal indictments.

WKRN reports that raids on massage parlors in two Franklin locations took place at the same time. Seven people were reportedly arrested, six vehicles seized and nearly $100,000 confiscated.

One of the parlors was located across the street from a Franklin school.

Five victims of human trafficking were reportedly rescued as part of the Franklin raid. They’re being assisted by the charity End Slavery Tennessee.
