Armed robbery on the MTSU campus Monday night

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  There was an armed robbery on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University late Monday night.

Students, staff and faculty received a campus wide alert at 9:33 p.m. stating that a robbery at knife-point had just taken place in the parking lot of the Ellington Human Sciences building.

MTSU Police are describing the suspect as a black male, wearing a red and white striped shirt, and carrying a knife.

The alert also notes that the suspect was accompanied by a group of four or five other black males.

On September 16, two armed robberies occurred within hours of each other on the MTSU campus. No arrests have been made in those incidents.

MTSU Police are asking that anyone with information about the most recent robbery to call 615-898-2424.
