Attorney wants evidence turned over in Holly Bobo case

DECATURVILLE , Tenn. (AP) — A Tennessee attorney representing one of the men charged in the kidnapping and killing of nursing student Holly Bobo has filed motions asking that evidence be turned over, charges be dropped or the prosecutor be held in contempt.

Zachary Adams and Jason Autry were charged last spring with murder and kidnapping and both have pleaded not guilty.

Media outlets report attorney John Herbison, who helps represent Autry, filed the motions Tuesday at the Decatur County courthouse. Herbison says the judge ordered prosecutors to turn over the evidence to defense attorneys by the end of December.

Three district attorneys have prosecuted the case since Autry was charged, but Herbison says his client's trial has been unnecessarily delayed and he's running out of patience.

A date to hear the motions hasn't been set.
