JACKSON, Tenn. (BEASLEY) -- Middle Tennessee signal caller Logan Kilgore has been named to the AFCA Good Works Team, one of the most highly coveted off-the-field honors.

This elite group represents the college football athletes who are committed to lending a helping hand in their communities. When Kilgore isn't busy orchestrating his offense, he often helps with the Special Olympics, and participates in the "Read Across America" program.

This years Good Works Team has one of the most impressive community service resumes in the programs 21 year existence.

Off the 117 nominees, only 22 will be voted on the final roster by the voting panel in September. Then, fans will get a chance to vote for the Team Captain on ESPN.com's Allstate AFCA Good Works Team website.
