MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Murfreesboro Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they believe stole a 72-year-old woman’s purse.
Police say they were called to the Walmart on South Rutherford Blvd. in early June. Arrow Court resident Robbie Ferguson told police that a black male had snatched her purse out of her shopping cart.
Mrs. Ferguson says there were 11 credit cards, cash and a checkbook in the purse at the time.
The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties with short hair and wearing an orange and white striped shirt. He’s believed to have fled the scene in a dark colored Camry with a spoiler on the back.
Walmart was able to provide a surveillance photo the suspect and his car.
