Come One, Come All to Free Day of Music This Saturday, September 27, from 10:15 am to 9 pm

Bring your family, friends and colleagues as the Nashville Symphony opens the doors of Schermerhorn Symphony Center for its ninth annual Free Day of Music, showcasing the Nashville Symphony and more than 20 different acts performing everything from classical and jazz to rock and bluegrass.

Performances will run on stages in four locations, both indoors and outside, giving you the chance to hear a wide array of music completely free of charge. Located in the Balcony Lobby from 11 am to 4 pm, a Kids’ Zone will feature an Instrument Petting Zoo with two dozen instruments of all shapes and sizes, along with a book nook, crafts and other family-friendly activities.

“This event is at the heart of the Nashville Symphony’s mission of delivering outstanding music to everyone in Middle Tennessee,” says Alan Valentine, Symphony president and CEO. “We are thrilled to be able to give back to our community, which has shown this organization such tremendous support over the years.”

The GRAMMY® Award-winning Nashville Symphony headlines the day at noon in Laura Turner Concert Hall, performing works by Mendelssohn, Dvo?ák, Tchaikovsky and more. Immediately afterward, Music Director Giancarlo Guerrero, Assistant Conductor Vinay Parameswaran and Chorus Director Kelly Corcoran will host a “Meet the Conductors” Q&A session for the public in Curb Family Music Education Hall.

The rest of the Free Day of Music lineup features a diverse assortment of performers from throughout Middle Tennessee. Please join us!
