Dave Koz concert a go tonight in Nashville

Koz

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Lots of cancellations Friday due to this week's latest winter blast, but a performance tonight at the Schermerhorn in Nashville is going ahead as scheduled.

The Nashville Symphony says tonight’s performance by jazz saxophonist Dave Koz will begin as scheduled at 8 p.m. this evening.

The Symphony does say that if you just can’t make the show you will be allowed to donate your tickets for re-sale, or exchange your tickets for another performance, but you’ll need to make that exchange before 6 p.m. this evening.

Dave Koz says he’s performed in Nashville in the past and found audiences in Music City unusually welcoming.

“You don’t find that in a lot of city’s you end up doing shows in. A real music appreciating audience, a real discerning ear that can receive all different kinds of music and that’s what you get with that audience in Nashville."

Dave Koz is this year celebrating the 25th anniversary of the release of his first recording. He plans to release a new album later in 2015.

Here's a copy of the email from the Nashville Symphony concerning the Dave Koz concert:

We’re writing to inform you that tomorrow’s concert with Dave Koz on March 6 at 8 pm is happening as scheduled.

We sincerely hope you can join us for this amazing concert.

Because of the weather, we are extending our exchange window to two hours prior to show time. You may donate your tickets for re-sale, exchange your tickets for another performance with the symphony, or you may put your ticket money on account to be used for a concert prior to July 31, 2015.

After 6 pm on Friday, you will no longer be able to exchange your tickets or put your ticket money on account.

If you would like to donate or exchange your tickets, please let us know ASAP via email at koz@nashvillesymphony.org (preferred means of communication). You may also call the box office at 615.687.6400, but please note that you may experience a significant wait.

Thank you for being a Nashville Symphony patron, and we look forward to seeing you at the Schermerhorn!
