Did Murfreesboro Police foil an armed robbery?

RCSO

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A restaurant cashier says she thinks Murfreesboro Police arrived just in time to save her from being robbed at gunpoint.

Officers responded to a silent alarm at the Subway on Old Fort Parkway Tuesday morning. When they arrived at the restaurant they found the clerk standing behind the register shaking and crying. The incident report says 33-year-old Brian Bradley was standing in front of the counter.

The clerk told police Bradley had asked her whether she was alone in the store and how to open the cash register. She also told officers she believed Bradley had a gun in his pants pocket and intended to rob store.

As patrolmen cleared the store of customers, they say Bradley stepped into the bathroom and stepped out again moments later.

An officer searched the bathroom and reports finding a pistol in the trash. Police say Bradley later admitted the gun was his.

Bradly was booked into the Rutherford County Jail on a charge of Possession of a Weapon by a felon.
