Dozens arrested following two massive mid-state under cover investigations

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Mid-state law enforcement agencies have made nearly 100 arrests in two sweeping investigations focused on drugs and human trafficking.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced Friday morning that it had arrested 41 individuals in a three day prostitution sting.

On Tuesday, the agency placed an ad offering sex on the website Backpage.com. Officials say 260 men responded, some seeking sex with minors.

Also on Friday, several state and local Law enforcement agencies wraped up a seven month long investigation into drug trafficking in Cheatham County. Officials say 57 individuals have been indicted in what they’re calling Operation Antidote.

County Sheriff’s Deputies began making arrests in that case Friday morning. One of those arrested is reportedly a former TDOT employee who police say dealt drugs while working for the state.
