HARTSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Officials say rescue crews have been called out to help people trapped by high water after heavy rain in Middle Tennessee.

A flash flood emergency warning was issued Wednesday morning for Sumner, Macon and Trousdale counties and officials told media that some roads are closed.

Trousdale County Emergency Management Agency Deputy Director Matt Batey told the Tennessean that water had inundated multiple residences and crews had been called out for three water rescues. Batey said the Hartsville city park "was basically destroyed by the weather" after nearby Goose Creek flooded.

Sumner County Emergency Management Agency Director Ken Weidner said crews there have responded to five calls for help due to high water.

Officials say no injuries have been reported.
