FPD

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Franklin Police are asking for the public's help as they work to identify a suspect in an armed robbery.

Officials say the clerk at the Shell station on Royal Oaks Boulevard at Oak Meadow Drive was robbed Saturday by a man who threatened the clerk with a box cutter.

In a press statement police say that when the clerk didn’t move fast enough to remove cash from the register the robber picked the entire register up and ran out of the store with it. Police suspect a getaway car was waiting for him.

Police describe the robber as a white male weighting approximately 150 pounds and standing roughly 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie. He’s described as having a skinny face, dirty blond hair and a goatee described as reddish brown.
