Help for Those Grieving During the Holidays

alivehospice.org

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  The holiday season is supposed to be a happy time, but it can be difficult for those who’ve lost a loved one.

Alive Hospice is offering grief seminars in Nashville and in Murfreesboro the evening of December 6 for anyone struggling with loss.

Grief Counselor Pam Quaintance says there’s no expiration date when it comes to grief.

“It’s not just, you get through your first holiday season and everything’s great. Usually the first holiday season is the hardest, but every holiday season is going to kind of what I call 'push' those emotional buttons and stir things up.”

Quaintance says she’ll be providing practical suggestions and coping tools for getting through the holidays.

The Murfreesboro seminar will be held December 6, 2012 at the first Presbyterian Church on North Spring Street beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Registration is required. You can learn more by visiting alivehospice.org.
