MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Tennessee State Rep. Joe Carr of Lascassas announced this week that he’ll challenge incumbent Lamar Alexander for his seat in the U.S. Senate next year.
Carr abandoned his bid to unseat troubled U.S. Congressman and fellow Republican Scott Desjarlais to mount the senate bid.
