MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A dozen mid-state companies looking to hire additional workers will be in Franklin this week for a state sponsored job fair.

UPS, Target, Walmart, Williamson County Schools, and Marriott are among the companies that will be taking applications Thursday morning.

State Rep. Glen Casada is one of the job fair’s sponsors. He says job seekers should come prepared.

“A neat appearance, nicely dressed, organized, with a resume; reviewing your history – both your education and your job history – are two things that would be vital in helping you get a lead on a job.”

Rep. Casada says that, even though Williamson County faired relatively well during the years of economic downturn, there are still a lot of resident s looking for work, and local employers looking to hire.

The job fair will be held at the Factory on Franklin Road. The event begins at 10 a.m. Thursday morning.
