MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A job fair is scheduled for Thursday in Shelbyville at Calsonic Arena.

The job fair is a partnership between the Tennessee Career Centers, State Senator Jim Tracey and State Rep. Pat Marsh.

Companies scheduled to attend include FedEx, Calsonic Kansei, Lowe’s, and Titan Transfer.

Senator Tracey says he is seeing some signs of economic recovery in his district, which stretches from Murfreesboro through Shelbyville into Lewisburg and Fayetville.

“It is improving a little bit, but people are still uneasy because it’s just not growing very fast and people are looking for better jobs.Hopefully this will help and get people out and let companies know that there are people out there looking for jobs.”

The job fair will be held Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Calsonic Arena in Shelbyville.

Senator Tracey suggests job seekers bring along copies of their résumé and dress professionally.
