NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The husband of Kim Davis — the Kentucky county clerk who went to jail for her refusal to issue marriage licenses — will be part of a Thursday rally at the capitol in Nashville organized by the Tennessee Pastors Network.

Network President Dale Walker of Whitleyville, Tennessee, lists some of the issues to be address as the rally.

“Traditional marriage, family, lax immigration system, weak terrorism laws, education, healthcare and religious liberty protection and religious freedom.”

Walker says the keynote speaker will be Joe Davis, the husband of Rowan County Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who continues to refuse to issue same sex marriage licenses.

Walker says a number of Tennessee state legislators will also be on hand. He expects issues raised at the rally will also come up during the next session of the Tennessee General Assembly beginning in January.
