weather.gov

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Looks like we could be in for a rough weather day here in the mid-state.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisorybeginning at 3 p.m. this afternoon and continuing through midnight.

The rain is expected to continue throughout the day, but as temperatures fall late this afternoon we could see a rain – sleet mix just in time for the afternoon commute.

Once the sun goes down we could see a change over to all snow with accumulations of an inch west of the Cumberland Plateau. Up on the Plateau they could see up to three inches.

The precipitation will end overnight, but there won’t be much of warm up tomorrow. Wednesday’s high is expected to hover right around the freezing mark.
