Middle Tenn. Gas Prices Continue to Fall

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Gas prices continue to fall across the nation and here in Middle Tennessee.

The average price for regular gasoline has fallen five cents across the country in the past week to $3.63 according to Triple A’s daily Fuel Gauge Report. The national average has fallen 18 cents in the past month and is currently 16 cents below the average price this time last year.

The price for a gallon of regular gas is selling for $3.21 cents in Tennessee, that’s 42 cents below the national average. Pump prices have fallen seven cents in the past week in the state and 33 cents in the past month.

Prices here in the Mid-State are trending a little higher than the state average. The  cost for a gallon of regular gasoline in Middle Tennsssee is $3.36, down six cents in the past week and 30 cents in the past month.

Tennessee’s highest average price on record for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.11 reached in September of 2008.
