MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Enjoy Friday’s clear skies and Saturday's slightly warmer temperatures, because more snow and bitter cold are forecast for the mid-state.
A winter storm expected to batter the Plains States tonight with blizzard conditions and temperatures well below zero will begin impacting Middle Tennessee on Sunday.
There’s a 50 percent chance of snow Sunday night and temperatures will fall into the single digits. Strong winds will make it feel even colder.
Scatter flurries and a high in the teens are forecast for Monday. Monday night temperatures in the WMOT listening area will fall close to zero.
Teh mid-state will see some sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday but it will be only slightly warmer.
There’s another chance for snow on Thursday.
