MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Most mid-state schools closed again Thursday, but relief from the winter weather is on the way.

Nearly all the county school systems decided to close Thursday, including Davidson County.

City systems also closing included Franklin Special, Lebanon Special, Manchester City and Tullahoma City Schools. Murfreesboro City Schools opened, but Rutherford County Schools closed.

Middle Tennessee Electric and Nashville Electric reported just handful of outages Thursday morning

Nashville International was showing a few cancelations Thursday, undoubtedly due to weather problems in other parts of the country, so check your flight before heading to the airport.

Snow amounts Thursday morning ranged from a dusting in northern mid-state counties up to 5 inches along Tennessee's southern border.

A warming trend begins this weekend. It will be in the 40s Saturday, the 50s Sunday, and we could see temperatures in the 60s by Tuesday.
