MPD arrests man identified as a member of the Vice Lords

RCSO

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Murfreesboro Police have arrested a man they believe is a member of the Chicago based Vice Lords street gang.

The MPD arrested 33-year-old Aspen Ave. resident Brian D. Bradley on Tuesday, charging him with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Police responded Tuesday morning to a silent alarm at the Subway on Old Fort Parkway. A clerk told police Bradley had approached the counter and asked if she was alone in the store. The clerk believed he had a gun in his pants pocket and intended to rob the store.

Police found the gun in the restaurant's bathroom trash. They say Bradley later admitted the gun was his, but denied planning to rob the Subway.

While being booked in the Rutherford County Jail, Bradley reportedly told the booking officer that he is a so-called “elite” level member of the Vice Lords gang.

Police say Bradley has a number of tattoos that support that claim.
