MPD Identifies Victims of Latest Double Homicide

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Murfreesboro Police have released the names of the two men found dead yesterday morning on Sycamore Circle in what’s being described as a double homicide.

The dead include 44 year-old Robert Aubry McAdoo, Jr. of East State Street, and 47 year-old Michael Orlando Evans of Olympia Place.

With these latest slayings, the number of homicides in the city in the first four months of 2014 have risen to six, twice the number in all of last year.

The MPD says its officers were called to Sycamore Circle home Monday morning just before 2 a.m. and found one of the men dead at the scene. The other died shortly after being transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

The MPD says its gang unit is involved in the investigation.
