MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (DAVIS) -- The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders arrived in Dayton, Ohio with dreams of advancing in the NCAA tournament Tuesday night, but those dreams were quickly dashed.
With a few hundred fans in the stands for support, MTSU kept it close with St. Mary’s early in the game. But late in the first half the Gaels took control of the game by sinking threes and forcing turnovers.
The Blue Raiders season came to a close Tuesday with the Gaels topping the Blue Raiders with a final score of 67 to 54.
The Lady Raiders are keeping MTSU’s NCAA dreams alive. The MT women play Louisville in Louisville Sunday afternoon. You can hear the game right here on WMOT.
