Join the Department of Art Monday, May 6, 2013 for a reception in Todd Art Gallery, 6-8 p.m. opening Edges and Angles, Contours and Reductions: An Exhibit of Advanced Drawing and Wood-fired Ceramics. A collaborative effort between advanced drawing and advanced clay students, it promises to be a celebration of accomplishment as the spring 2013 semester draws to a close.
The student-led Todd Art Gallery210 also opens Monday at 6 p.m. with Quarrel of the Ancients and Moderns: An Italian Renaissance Art History Exhibit. Works presented relate to the ongoing debate over the authority of the Ancient and Renaissance masters compared to the innovations of today’s artists. By combining and challenging elements of Contemporary Art and Italian Renaissance Art participating students add their own interpretations to the debate.
Todd Art Gallery210 is located across the hall from the Todd Art Gallery adjacent to Todd Hall’s central stairwell.
