ATLANTA, Ga. (WMOT) -- Middle Tennessee garnered its first ever victory against Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon on the strength of 510 yards rushing and 5 Benny Cunningham touchdowns.
The Blue Raiders downed the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 49-28, in front of just over 39,000 in downtown Atlanta’s Bobby Dodd Stadium.
The game was tied 21-all at half time, but a career-best performance by MT tailback and Nashville native Cunningham quickly pushed the game safely out of Georgia’s reach.
Blue Raider Quarterback Logan Kilgore racked up his 10th 200-yard passing game, connecting on 17-of-23 for 246 yards and two touchdowns.
The Raiders return home to Floyd Stadium Saturday, Oct. 6, for Homecoming against ULM. Kickoff is set for 2:30 pm. You can catch the game right here on WMOT.
