MTSU eases past UA-Little Rock 76-59, Lady Raiders at UA Tuesday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) — Shawn Jones scored 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead Middle Tennessee to a 76-59 victory over UA-Little Rock Monday night.

Kerry Hammonds was the leading MT scorer with 20 points.  The Blue Raiders were able to hold the Trojans to only 14 for 47 from the floor.

MTSU played without starter Marcus Tarrance who was suspended indefinitely following his arrest on a domestic violence charge.

Arkansas is set to host the MTSU women Tuesday tonight.  The two teams will tip off at 7 p.m.

UA is looking to remain undefeated after starting the season 3-0. The Lady Raiders are 1-1 on the season.
