MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Middle Tennessee State University has signed another agreement with China’s Guangxi University.
University President Zhao Yanlin was on the MTSU campus Tuesday to sign the five year agreement, which provides for joint research projects, conferences, as-well-as student and faculty exchanges.
After inking the deal, MTSU President Sidney A. McPhee noted that the two institutions have much in common.
“Its institution is very similar to Middle Tennessee State University. We both have a major goal of internationalizing our campuses, recognizing that we live in a world without borders.”
McPhee noted that Guangxi is one of China’s top universities. The school is located in a southern province along the border with Vietnam.
MTSU has a permanent student recruitment office on the Guangxi campus.
