Why: “The Stole Ceremony demonstrates a clear commitment to recognize and appreciate the selfless service and sacrifice of our veterans and their precious families,” said Keith M. Huber, MTSU’s senior adviser for veterans and leadership initiatives. “This stole ceremony will become a tradition symbolizing academic achievement and service.”… University President Sidney A. McPhee, Provost Brad Bartel and Huber, a retired three-star general who served nearly 40 years in the U.S. Army, will recognize the veterans, who will be joined by family and friends.
