‘MTSU On the Record’ Analyzes Bereavement on the College Campus

The next “MTSU On the Record” radio program examines the ways a college community can deal with the death of one of its own.

Host Gina Logue’s interview with Dr. Kris McCusker, history professor and co-founder of the MTSU Working Group on Bereavement, will air from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 24, and from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, June 30, on WMOT-FM (89.5 and wmot.org).

The group of various MTSU personnel created a brochure with information about how to cope with grieving the loss of a student, faculty member or staffer.

In addition, the group assembled a “coaching staff” for faculty, who could then provide support for their students.
