‘MTSU On the Record’ Reminds You to Get Free Memory Screening

Free memory screenings performed by MTSU graduate students will be explained on the next edition of the “MTSU On the Record” radio program.

Host Gina Logue’s interview with Dr. Paul Foster, MTSU associate professor of psychology and clinical neuropsychologist, will air from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, and from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, on WMOT-FM (89.5 and wmot.org).

Under Foster’s supervision, graduate students ask clients a series of questions designed to help determine whether the clients have any memory issues that would merit referral to a specialist.

Foster is an expert on brain-behavior relationships and, in particular, assessing for the presence of neurodegenerative diseases. These include Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and vascular dementia, among others.

The free memory screenings are available by appointment at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic by calling 615-867-8090 or going to www.mmclinic.com.
