MTSU Students Up for College TV EMMY

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Three students from Middle Tennessee State are headed to Hollywood this weekend to pick up the college version of an EMMY Award.

Erica Doyle, Fadia Patterson and former student Marquee Doyle will attend the 33rd Annual College Television Awards presented by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The trio will represent the program KOURE-TV, a variety show that airs on MTSU’s student run station MT-10.

Six hundred students from 124 schools competed for the awards.  The MTSU students will learn during the awards show Saturday if KOURE-TV placed first, second, or third.

Erica Doyle is the show's Senior Producer.

"I want all of us to go up there. Without the crew the show would have been nothing. It's not just one person's collective ideas. It's everybody working together to make an absolutely wonderful show."
