Murf. man shot, just one of 7 weekend gun related incidents

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Murfreesboro Police are reporting a string of weekend incidents involving guns, including one incident that sent a local man to the ER with a gunshot to the shoulder.

Officers with the MPD filed seven reports between Friday and Sunday that included guns. The first occurred late Friday night when a road rage incident ended with one man being arrested for drawing a gun.

Just before 11 p.m. Friday police got a shots fired call at the The Pointe at Raiders Campus apartments. They recovered eight shell casings on the scene. At about the same time a man was arrested for firing several shots during an argument at the Camps Villa Apartments.

On Saturday afternoon a man pulled a gun on his neighbor while arguing over the neighbor’s dog. Saturday night a man was robbed at gunpoint at the Vie Apartments.

Sunday morning a gun toting customer stormed into the Burger King on N. Thompson, angry about the way a clerk spoke to him. Sunday night 26-year-old Barry C. Smith says he was shot in the shoulder when gunfire erupted near the Haynes Manor Apartments on Northfield Blvd.

Smith was take to St. Thomas Rutherford ER. There has been no further word about his condition.
