Murf. Police raid more suspected massage parlors

MPD

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  For the second time in a month Murfreesboro Police have raided area massage parlors on suspicion of prostitution.

This past Thursday MPD Vice Detectives served search warrants on three massage businesses suspected of engaging in prostitution. They included Gold Sun Massage on Broad Street, Amazing Massage on N. Thompson Lane, and Chinatown Therapeutic Massage on Church Street.

Police say they seized evidence at each location and will present the cases to the Rutherford County Grand Jury for possible criminal charges.

Authorities say its part of an ongoing mid-state effort to fight human trafficking. Last Call 4 Grace Ministries partnered with the MPD to provide assistance to the women working for the three businesses.

Back in late February Murfreesboro Police raided four locations, including three massage parlors, in partnership with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
