Murf. Police: Two Women Argue, Fight, One is Stabbed

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A Murfreesboro woman was arrested Wednesday after police say she stabbed a person visiting her apartment.

Murfreesboro Police say they arrested 21 year-old Taylor Benderman on a charge of aggravated assault.

Benderman lives on Sloan Street just off the Middle Tennessee State campus. Her mother says Benderman is an MTSU student, but she’s not listed in the school’s student directory.

According to the police report, Benderman told police that she got into an argument with a woman named Traci Williams. The report doesn't indicate what the two women were arguing about.

Benderman says she picked up a knife after Williams threatened to “end her life” and then punched her in the head.

Taylor reportedly stabbed Williams in the thigh. There's no word today on the extent of William’s injuries or her current condition.

Benderman was booked into the Rutherford County jail and later released on a $5,000 bond. She’s scheduled to appear in General Sessions court on January 13.
