MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  The Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra will bring its 31st season to a close this evening with a performance entitled The Majesty of Tchaikovsky.

Maestro Joseph Lee will conduct as the orchestra performs the “Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture” and the “Symphony No. 4 in F Minor.”

Maestro Lee says the orchestra will also be hosting a special guest.

“Tonight performing Cecile Shamanad’s ‘Concertino in D Major’ for flute and orchestra, we have Mr. Philip Dikeman. He’s the new flute professor at Vanderbilt University and he’s the former principle flutist with the Detroit Symphony.”

The performance will be held at Murfreesboro's First United Methodist Church this evening at 7:30 pm with the doors opening at 7:00 pm.
