Murf. Woman Wakes to Find Intruder in Her Bedroom

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  A Murfreesboro woman woke this morning to find an intruder pointing a gun at her face.

Yearwood Avenue resident Jade Lehman wasn’t harmed, but the intruder did steal her laptop computer before fleeing.

Murfreesboro Police, Middle Tennessee State Police and Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies responded, but failed to locate the suspect. He’s described as a black man of average build wearing all black clothing.

Sheriff’s department K-9 Balu tracked the suspect from Yearwood Avenue to Greeenland Drive on the edge of the MTSU campus, but then lost the scent.

The campus was placed on alert for just over an hour, but no further sign of the thief was discovered.

Anyone with information about the suspect are asked to call Detective Brooks at 904-3051.
