Music City Baroque performs Messiah Sing-In and More!

on Mon., Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. at

Christ Church Cathedral

 

EVENT:  Messiah – and more! - Join the chorus and orchestra of Music City Baroque in Nashville’s favorite early music Messiah sing-along, under the direction of Murray Somerville, as part of Christ Church Cathedral’s “Sacred Space for the City” series on Monday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m.  Sammartini’s festive Christmas Concerto will open the concert.  Bring your copy of Handel’s Messiah withyou and join in on the choruses, pick up one on-site, or just enjoy the music in “surround sound!”  Tickets are available at the door:  $15 for adults, and $5 students/seniors; 900 Broadway, Nashville.

Fiddling Project II:  Tracing Tennessee’s Musical Roots at the Loveless Barn – Monday, April 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.:  Loveless Barn, 8400 Highway 100, Nashville – MCB continues its Fiddling Project with a performance at the Loveless Barn that will trace Tennessee’s musical roots, finding ties between fiddling and early “classical” violin playing.
