Names released of MTSU students shot on Sunday

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  The names of the Middle Tennessee State students shot at an apartment complex near campus have been released by Murfreesboro Police.

The MPD says Dartavious Brittenum and Travious Miller, both 19, were shot early Sunday morning at the University Gables Apartments.

Police say they responded to a shots fired call just after 1 a.m. and discovered Miller lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. The first officer on the scene rendered first aid until EMS arrived.

Both men were taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center in serious condition.
