Nashville Symphony Perfomance This Friday and Saturday

You’ll get visions of pyramids and papyrus when pianist Stephen Hough joins your Nashville Symphony to perform Saint-Saëns’ exotic “Egyptian” Piano Concerto, a lively showpiece that captures the composer’s exciting journeys through the Middle East. The orchestra teams again with American composer Richard Danielpour on his Toward the Splendid City, an intimate portrait of New York City that will be recorded live in Laura Turner Concert Hall. Iconic Finnish composer Jean Sibelius’ beloved Second Symphony closes the evening  with bold and bracing music that has earned deserved comparisons to Beethoven and Tchaikovsky. This 19th century masterwork will showcase the full breadth of your Nashville Symphonyat their absolute best.

Presented by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra League, our free Classical Conversations take place one hour before all Classical Series concerts in the Balcony Lobby.
