MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- The website NerdWallet.com is out with a list of the best places in Tennessee for job seekers to find employment.
Nerdwallet is a five year-old personal finance website targeted toward young professionals. The site makes recommendations for the best credit cards, mutual funds, travel ideas and even gas prices.
NerdWallet’s Annie Wang says the site’s visitors appreciate the site’s finance tools, but also wanted help finding work in a tough job environment.
“You know, this is great, I now know how to save money on my bank account and how to invest, but I also really want to know where the jobs are. How do I make more money? Unemployment and underemployment can be a really big issue, especially for your professionals right now."
The site named the top ten cities in Tennessee for job seekers. Seven were in Middle Tenneesse, including Franklin, Smyrna, Murfreesboro, and Lebanon.
The report factored in data on local employment, the affordability of housing, and how fast a city is growing.
