The Ocelot, the World Cup and Germaine Greer on The World for 7-11

A real audio treat for you today.

Germaine Greer made a name for herself back in the 60s and 70s as a feminist writer. Her latest book is about her turn towards environmentalism, which started on a visit to Australia. Here's a taste from our conversation with Greer today.

"I sat down on a rock, and I began to listen to the forest to see how much life it had left in it, the bits of tattered forest that were still there.  And this bird came out of the forest. And it danced for me.  It danced all around me.  And the whole time it kept looking out of its yellow eye right in my face as if to say, 'What are you going to do about this?  Are you going to help us guys or what?'"

Plus, the latest from the Middle East, and an interview with a reporter in Honduras who's been looking at the violence there and the impact that's having on immigration to the United States.

Also, Isidoro the Ocelot chooses this weekend's World Cup winner...and has a surprise, family-related announcement. Not to be missed.
