MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- A Murfreesboro man had a gun pushed against his chest during a robbery, one of two armed robberies to take place in the city over the weekend.
Late Saturday night 22-year-old Ethan J. Bagwell tells police he was arriving at an apartment on S. Rutherford when he was assaulted. He says a black male wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark pants pulled out a gun, placed it against his chest, and demanded money.
Bagwell says the man, and his accomplice, took about $100 out of his wallet before fleeing on foot.
The manager at D & J Market on S. Many Ave. tells police that late Sunday night he was robbed by a white male wearing dark pants and a black jacket.
He says the man came into the store, pointed a silver handgun at him and several customers, and demanded money. In that incident the thief made off with about $400 in cash.
Both cases have been turned over to MPD detectives.
