A Pair of Home Invasions in Murfreesboro Overnight

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT)  --  Murfreesboro police say a pair of home invasions took place in the city overnight Sunday.

The first incident occurred just before midnight Sunday when a police report says four men forced their way into a Wenlen Drive apartment. The two men home at the time say they were held at gun point and forced to strip to their underwear. The intruders made off with more than $5000 worth of electronics and clothing, telling the victims they would be killed if they called police.

The second incident took place about two hours later and less than a mile away on Benley Street. The resident there says she was awakened by the sound of someone breaking in the front door. She told police that when she came out of the bedroom a man confronted her, stating that he was a police officer.

The woman went back into the bedroom, locked the door and called police. The resident says she heard other voices in the apartment. The intruders left before police arrived. The only thing the victim could find missing was a pack of cigarettes.

The four intruders in the first incident were described as black males. One was wearing dreads and a Bob Marley t-shirt. Two others may have been twins.

The intruder in the second incident was described as a black male wearing a white t-shirt.

If you have any information about either incident, call the Murfreesboro Police Department at 893-1311.
